hotel jadran: in the heart of the old town

    While the sunlovers head off to nearby Vodice, very few people choose to stay in Sibenik. There are not many hotels or other accommodations in town - I think I counted 4. Jadran is a concrete 3 stars hotel right in the heart of sibenik

    I chose it because of its location - right on the sea-front promenade, with the old town at its back. Its best asset, though, is the huge outdoor restaurant and bar in front - it''s really nice to sit outside at night and people-watch or just relax.

    Private accommodation is better choice since hotels are highly overpriced; but my recommendation is to take your sleeping bag, or a tent if you have to have minimum comfort.

    This small campingground is located in a big garden around a house just by the beach in Zaboric. The sanitary facilities are OK and there it is also possible to borrow a frigde if you need to.

    Shop : 200 meters
    Bar : 20-30 meters
    Restaurant : 250 meters
    Beach : 20 meters
    Busstation : 250 meters

    The beach is just outside the gates !

    This grand complex consists of two campinggrounds, sport facilities, a sandy beach, several hotels, a marina, restaurants, shops etc.
    I other words, this place has it all. Prices are a bit high, and the place i run in a very professional manner, that leaves little room for personal contact.
    While staying here you will not lack anything, however you will fell like just another number in the camp computer.

    their are also many guided tours from the camp to the Krka Falls (Skradinski Buk)

    there is a special Solaris bus going between Sibenik and Solaris, and it only transports Solaris guests and employees.

    If you have a tent then you can experience problems with the extremely rocky grounds around the camp.

  • Directions: Getting from Sibernik to Solaris should be no problem, there are signs and busses going there, and the sheer size of the place makes it really hard to miss.

    Price and location was very good.
    I found a clean and comfortable room.
    Staff was very kind and helpful.

    This campground is in reality a house with a mediumsized garden where you can camp. The prices are affordable and the camp is ranked as a one star (*) camp.
    The sanitary facilities are functioning and their is warm water in the baths.
    At night time the place can be a bit noisy because of the nearby bar, but the music there is not extremely loud.

    The beach is really close by !
