October to February can producce colder than usual weather and warm clothing for the evenings (32C by day, 9C by night) as well as rain wear would be a good idea to bring.
Anit-Malarial medications if you plan to venture out below the 2000 meter level. Toiletry items are available, but may not be to the same standard that you are use to. Bring sufficient if you prefer a specific product.
Photo supplies, and film development is available.
Massawa offers beaches on the Red Sea, but the temperature can reach mid-40 Celsus. Appropriate sun block would be prudent to bring.
