Well La Marmite is not like that, it's real...beautiful in it's simpleness.
Ah, all their food is really good. I especially like the Mafe, which is a chicken dish done in ground nut. The chargrilled lamb chops are just as delicious. La Marmite is a small friendly restaurant run by a Cameroonian Chef named Martial. They serve a variety of authentic West African dishes in suitably wooden dishes. You can sit outside amongst the carved wooden statues and enjoy African food the way it was meant to be cooked. It is open Mondays - Saturday from 12:00 to 15:00 and from 17:00 to 23:00. Nandos is an international chain of restaurants that offer a great menu of freshly grilled chicken right in front of you. They use open flames to create a great taste. Nandos celebrates the distinctive tradition of Peri-Peri barbeque that was born 400 years ago when Portuguese explorers discovered Africa food and spices. The first Nandos came into being in Johannesburg in 1987 and here in Windhoek 1995. The salads are fresh and you get to choose your own sauce that the chicken is marinated in. You also select how hot or (or not!) you want this to be.
