 | Delhi Out of Delhi Reviews | 1 - 10 of 16 | | The city of Agra, home of the Taj Mahal, is located in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Agra used to be the capital of India under the Moghuls. No trip to North India is complete without a visit to the magnificent Taj Mahal. There are other sites to visit in Agra such as the Red Fort. Getting to Agra, from Delhi, can be a trek. It can be reached in a few hours by train or 4-5 hours by car or bus. There are day tours that run from Delhi but your best bet would be to book a hotel for a night. Leave a Comment

About One and half hour away from the national capital is located a peaceful picnic spot which experiences crowds only on holidays. Sultanpur a lesser known place around Delhi was developed as Birds sanctuary on the lines of Bharatpur. The place has good accommodation facility and restaurants for food. The swamps of the lake has many species of birds, even some migratory birds have been visiting this sanctuary. Leave a Comment Address: 50 KM in Haryana Near GargounPhone: 0124-2375242

For a week, it is suitable to remain nearby Delhi because of two reasons. First, wasting time in travel is not a good approach & Secondly, u have good options available near Delhi itself to make u tour gr8. I would suggest u three places to complete three corners of your golden triangle. They are 1. Delhi 2. Agra 3. Jaipur Ur Itinerary may be like this: Day 1: Reaching Delhi Day 2: In Delhi, visit Lotus Temple, Quatab Minar, Red Fort, Raj Ghat Day 3: Continued... India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan (President House, Akshardham Temple plus Shopping. Day 4: Early morning leave for Jaipur by Luxurious bus (5-6 hours journey) & visit some places in Jaipur. Day 5: Continue Siteseeing in Jaipur (Aamer Fort, Jantar Mantar & various museums etc.) Day 6: Leave for Agra early morning(5-6 hours)...Visit Taj Mahal (In 7 wonder List), Fatehpur Sikari etc. Day 7: If any left out in Agra, complete it & Back to Delhi (3hrs max by road) & then back to ur Country. For details on Delhi, visit http://www.exploredelhi.com/places-to-visit/index.html Apart from this, if u don't want to engage a guide/travel agent, u can book tickets for train online at www.irctc.co.in and status may be checked at www.indianrail.gov.in (Official Site bit slow) www.cleartrip.com....train search (good information available) U may manage without a guide but u should finalise ur Itinerary before arrival, so that u r clear on what to do in India. Regarding booking of these types of tours, u may look for options on www.irctc.co.in also. This is govt. organised tours and r good with best of the prices. Their address is NORTH ZONE 7th Floor, Bank of Baroda Building, 16 Parliament Street, New Delhi- 110001 Tel.No.- 011-23314763 Fax No.- 011-23314763 I hope this will help. Must go to the hill stations. It is a very popular trip for indians there to spend their holidays. One reason is the weather is too hot in summer, they like to go to the hill station to make themselves cool....! Even in winter, there will be snow there and the view is so beautiful!!!! Shimla is the most popular hill station in North India. It's full of British culture even the buildings are with British design. Nobody hate it! Do enjoy the weather there after getting burn down the hill. Missorie is another hill station where people like to go. Less crowded and quiet coz people will first choose Shimla. That's the reason I love Missorie more. Spend at least a few days on each hill station. Hotels are everywhere on top of the mountain. Leave a Comment Directions: It's far to get to the hill station, at least you need to take 6 hours to get there. Make sure the bus is comfortable enough for you to spend a day in it.Other Contact: You can go one hill station to a

You could hire a car to go to Ajmer from Delhi, which would be convinient especially if you want to visit other places in Rajasthan like Jaipur,Pushkar etc..You could halt at one of the places and make it a three day or five day trip according to the places you want to visit. The Ajmer Dargah is very famous and Pushkar is a beautiful place which has the temple of Lord Bramha(which is very rare)
