 | Delhi Warnings or Dangers | Tips 1 - 10 of 87 | | Its really dificult to go where you want if you take a rickshaw a taxi or if you ask to someone you want to go to a particular place ... they will always try to convince you to go to other place and if you say "no" they will go on trying to take you to the place they want telling you that that place is close, in reform or that is better to go to this other place ... It is really hard ... they will ask you why you want to go there and not to other ... Even if you are in a hotel ... and you ask to go to the hotel they will try to make you change your hotel .... :))))))))) "Please I just want to go where I am telling you I want to go..." The safer way to get to the city from the airport is to go outside and go stra8 to the small office for the prepaid taxi. You simply go there, tell to the man where you do want to go and you pay immediately. Then he will give you the receipt with the numebr of the taxi and he will drive you to the final destination. It is very simple and moreover you will not fall in trouble with huge ammounts to pay to the taxi driver.. ):- Leave a Comment

In some hinduist temples you will find this sign of the arian people. Since the nazis adopted it for their purposes it had a rather different meaning from the one it has (for westerners) now. But Hitler wanted some "arians" symbols to support his dream... Leave a Comment

Once you would need the service of an agency, for example to book a train ticket or whatever, before to agree for somehting, ask them which is the % or value of their services. So, before to confirm something, bergain also about the provvision!!!! Provvison are also on reguarding the shops, if somebody bring you there, it means that the seller will pay to theis person a commison on the things you are buying, therefore the final price will be higher! Try to avoid it!! Leave a Comment

Is not a danger, or a really warning, is just a notice. People used to look at us very much and with no kind of discretion. I don't really now if it was because we where tourits or women alone or way ... but it was not confortable. There are men every where but there are not so many women. I can not speak of all India just of Delhi and Agra, and in both places there where few women at street. Speaking with a man of Agra he told me that they didn't liked women to go outside cause they didn't liked other men to look at them. Well ... then ... tourist women get all the eyecatch. Perhaps is only curiosity and is the same for foreigners men also ... I don't know Leave a Comment

If there is one thing you have to learn as quick as possible is this: Bargain! Regaurding whatever, from stuff, to food, to drinks to also the Guesthouses. When somebody is asking 100, you gotta pay not more then 30! There are only few items that has a fix prices, like BIRI, which costs 5Rs!!! Reguarding tghe GH you should not ask for the 30% of the inquiry, but for sure go down to the first price called by the owner. Leave a Comment

Delhi may not exactly conjure up visions of winter. There is however, a period that lasts anything between two to four weeks between end december and the first half of january, when the temperatures take a nosedive. Flights are often delayed, and visibility is poor for much of the time. The days temperatures in celsius, range between 15 degrees maximum and 3 degrees minimum. Leave a Comment

It happends a very strange thing to me. I book a bus ticket for the route and I paid normally the rate. Once we were dropping on the bus, the man told us “you do have to pay for looking forward your bags”…and what tha hell does it mean?! So, despite the normal rate they will ask you for some Rupee for looking forward your bags…When this will happen, DO NOT pay anything and go stra8 to the manager, he will settle the matter… Leave a Comment

Watch out for your money. Keep it nearby where nobody will notice it. When you buy something, check if the money you get back is correct. Most Indian people who never went to school have trouble counting. Also some count wrong on purpose. Also you should watch out with food and drinks. Never eat at dirty looking restaurants or little foodstals at the road. Don't drink tabwater, buy mineral water in a sealed bottle. Mineral water from the brand 'Yes', 'Evian' and 'Bisleri' are alright. Watch out in trafic. Getting accross the street can be hard sometimes. Roads are often bumpy and full of holes. People often drive reckless. Leave a Comment
