The company is called JafaCabs and at first I assumed that they made their money from advertisements placed on the back of the rickshaw, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Who cares? This is a fun way to see this part of central Auckland, so why not give it a go? Leave a Comment Theme: Other

We prefer to use this company, having done so for many years. It is a family run business which began from a small fleet to the size it is today, situated in both islands. Although not one of the big Names in rental cars, we have no problem recommending McDonalds. Their cars are never more than 2 yrs old, always in very good condition, and the price rates are always very good. Not situated at the International Airport, they will make arrangements to meet you, so that is not a problem. Within NZ the toll free number is: 0800 164 165 Leave a Comment

CITY CIRCUIT FREE BUS This is a GREAT service that uses an environmentally friendly Electric bus to run a continuous 10 minute service around the central city. 8am - 6pm, 7 days. This is an excellent service as walking up Queen Street can be a chore, especially if you have armsful of shopping, LOL. It runs: Britomart > Queen St (Vulcan Lane) > Queen St (Whitcoulls) > University > AUT > Civic theatre (Queen St) > Skytower > Queen St City Life Hotel > Queen St (BNZ Tower) and then back to Britomart. I found the drivers to be exceptionally friendly and efficient. Maybe that was because they weren't taking money and the passengers were more friendly :-) Leave a Comment

The Britomart station in downtown Auckland is still under construction although it is open for business. The services are basic and need to build up and grow. Auckland has not had good rail services up until now, so we hope that will change in the future. The architecture of the station itself is well worth the visit. Very attractive and interesting. The Link bus is a cheap and convenient way to get around Auckland. For NZ$1.50 it takes you to all the sights of inner Auckland. It's also a loopservice, so if you want cheap sightseeing without the annoying commentary; buy a ticket and stay seated until you're back where you started!
