    Badija Island can be reached by taxi boat where you will find a small cafe and rocky (!) beaches that wrap two sides of this small island. After landing walk to the right to the cafe. The most comfortable beaches with the smallest rocks are found on the far side of the island.

  • The island of Korcula has a thriving wine industry. Just outside the walls of the old city, we stumbled onto a nice wine shop that was an outlet for a local vineyard. They offer free tastings of the wines for sale. We tried several of them and ended up with a few bottles of excellent Korculan white.

    I can't recall exactly where this shop is, but it's located on a street right around the Trg. Sv. Justine.

    It really does look this beautiful. Anyone that in lives in korcula should no where it is. You can drive there on a dirt road, not too far from postrana.

    I did see some bike riders

    As you approach the harbour, the forested coast starts showing spread houses, giving life to the island, and, with its modern architecture, creating the contrast that "explodes" before you, when the boat circles the remaining towers of the old town

    92 meters above Korcula is a stone fortress tower that is now taken over with telecommunications equipment. When we visited the door was wide open and we climbed past the locked equipment to the top of the tower for a stunning view of Orebic.

    Due south of the village of Cara is the seaside village of Zavalatica. With map in hand drive to the east of town to the end of the road above the small cove named U. Zitna. Park and walk down to this little sandy beach.
