We made a day trip to Brijuni from Pula. Kind of wondered why we did because you have to go on an escorted tour so you have very little time to see the interesting things on the island. OK, so the Avenue of Pines and the 1700 year old olive tree aren't so spectacular, but there are some Roman ruins it would have been nice to explore for more than 10 minutes.

Sneak off from your tour group and hire a bicycle or just walk around. We didn't realise bike hire was possible until we were leaving.
