...this is not a 'must see activity', but it can be a lot of fun. The 'Hullámfürdő'!! If you want to see regular Hungarians on the 'beach', this is a good place. The atmosphere can be kind of flirtatious every now and then, but if you want to get in touch with young people, this can be a nice start. Probably there are a lot classier places to go for a swim, but this is in the town center and hence very comfortable. One of the pools has a wave-machine that draws a lot of people every 30 minutes or something... The children's pool is decorated with a Zsolnay sculpture - the famous china brand from Pécs. The Zsolnay museum - extremely beautiful china, very unique style. 'The eosin are the Zsolnay Factory world-famous, unique products. Its main crux is the metal-oxide based reduced glaze, which is baked twice onto the basic body in the manufacturing process of eosin.' (quoted from the Zsolnay website) The beautiful green pitcher on the picture is an example of this work. Leave a Comment Address: Káptalan u. 2. Tel.: 72/324-822Other Contact:

The heart of the city of Pécs is this vast square which hosts numerous sights. At the northern end of the square is the Pasha Gazi Kassim Mosque, now used as a church but the largest Turkish structure still standing in Hungary. At the opposite side of the square you'll find the unusual Zsolnay Fountain (see next post). Leave a Comment Address: Check map on previous postingOther Contact: Tourist Office Tourinform: Szech
