La Fontana is part of the Qawra Palace Hotel. It's an open air restaurant with a great view over the Salina Bay.

If you have to escape the heat, this is an ideal place to visit. Great pies and lunch goodies with cool drinks or all kind of coffee.
The whole place is air-conditioned well and besides the cafe, there is a big games (pool tables & darts).
Also you can use the Internet section (20+ terminals) and international phones.

There is a fantastic family run ice cream shop at the end of the bugibba and it is just fantastic, if you are walking down the main street in bugibba definately visit it!
Best Ice Cream shop in Malta and its not to expensive either!

There are lots of lovely restaurants in Buggiba serving a selection of English, Italian and Maltese inspired dishes!
We have never had a bad meal in Buggiba so wander around until something takes your fancy.
Don't go half board here its a real waste!
Local wine & beer is excellent & very reasonable.
If you like rabbit the maltese cook it beautifully in garlic & wine, different restaurants have different recipies - some are dry, others quite saucy.
Brajiolli is minced beef with various flavourings (garlic, olives etc) wrapped in a thin slice of beef & cooked in a tomato & wine sauce till tender.
Pizza is italian style, thin & crispy & the ones with blue cheese are wondeful. Pasta is good everywhere - lots of variety. Garlic bread is very strong in most places & great.

"La Pasion" is a bar and restaurant with excellent food. The Menu includes pizza's,pasta's,steaks, fish cakes, pork chops, burgers, salads and much more. Lots of other restaurants have similiar menu's but what's different and brilliant about this place is that all food is freshly prepared once the order is taken, nothing is pre-prepared. We wandered in to "La Pasion" on the first night of our holiday at about 10:30 for a drink and were greeted by the lovely smiling face of Charmaine (Bar person). I Knew straight away that we would spend a lot of time there. We ate there every day at least once a day if not twice. We met lots of couples during our two week stay who also agreed that the food was excellent and ate there on numerous occasions. Inside the restaurant is candle lit and romantic. There is also two big screen televisions inside which was excellent to watch the world cup matches. On a Friday and Saturday night there is Kareoke which is a good laugh. I made some wonderful friends at this restaurant and will travel to Malta and to "La Pasion" for many years to come.
Its hard to describe my favourite meal because there were lots of them. I do know that there were a number of meals that other customers also recommended very highly. These included the T-Bone steak, Pork chops, Fish cakes, Penne Carbonara. Apart from the carbonara all meals are served with fresh salad and chips. The Pizza's are delicious and the best I tasted while in Malta. really sweet little restaurant with a handfull of tables outside, food is lovely & fresh. Saw maltese people eating here which is always a good sign. Proper italian pizza, pasta & more. Ate here a couple of times & couldn't complain about anything
Gorgonzola pizza is fab - rich & very naughty with thin light base & lovely tomato sauce. Meatballs were firm, cooked perfectly & very tasty. garlic bread was great - very smelly - order 1 between 2 as otherwise you won't eat your main meal!
