Might sound crazy but if you don´t drink enough you will end up feeling dizzy and sick..or maybe vomit all day long (like I did..) So please, drink!

Majorca is a very beautiful place with a plentiful supply of friendly and enthusiastic locals, however, there are areas where you need to exercise some care with your purse! Inca market runs every Thursday and is the most popular market on the island. There are hundreds of stall set close together and it gets very crowded sometimes. Pick pockets thrive here and are incredibly talented and once it's gone, it's gone! There is VERY little indeed that the police can or will do about it. Zip up your bag, hang it around your neck so it can't be snatched, and tuck it firmly under your arm! And a tip for the gentlemen - don't carry cash in your shorts - it will more than likely go missing! Get a bum-bag! (one of those purses that goes round your waist)

We went to Alcudia in September 2007. We were approached by a charming frenchman with scratchcards. One of us had won a star prize, the choice of 600 euros cash a camcorder or a free holiday. He told us he scratchcards were to promote a new internet travel operator. They were not. They are for a scam holiday club, they try to get you to sign up for memberships of up to £13,000! They ask for a deposit of from £300. If you pay by card, they keep the details and take the money even if you try to cancel the agreement. These people have moved to Alcudia from Tenerife. They have a nice professional office set up. They have a nice Welsh receptionist. None of it is real. Avoid them like the plague. I googled Travel Safe when I got home and came up with all of this information. Many people have been taken in and none of them have got their money back.
