Watch out for the Carpet sellers you will notice them because they have hostels which are really cheap well you can probably stay there for a Million cheaper then Backpackers Inn but they will then try to sell you a carpet or a rug and can become quite hostile if they don't get the sale (Info from others who stayed at these places) well known for this is the Australian/New Zealand Pension (it's not run or owned by any Austarlians) but a carpet seller.

Save yourself a trip and avoid this Fortress which is just a few km from downtown Izmir. There is nothing redeeming here and it can be very hot. Leave a Comment

There is stairs that you can climb to the ramparts of this Fortress. The view was nice once you got through all the garbage and litter. Leave a Comment
