    About 40 miles southwest of Wakula Springs is Cape San Blas on the Gulf of Mexico. A little known place which is on a peninsula jetting out into the Gulf along the Panhandle of Florida. Port St Joe is the closest town along route 98. It is a good fishing area and also swimming from the white sands that follows the many houses along the shore. I spent a lot of time riding my bicycle along the peninsula. Hurricanes in about 2005 have devasted many of the businesses in the area and several homes are still for sale.
