The atmospshere was about average. There is a nice bar with HUGE drinks that seemed quite hoppin' while I was there. The tables are rather small, but the food is good.
The service left quite a bit to be desired, as the waitress only paid attention to us when she wanted to collect the bill.

Happy Joe's Pizza has always been a favorite of mine. Mostly because I love the Happy Joe's Special - Canadian Bacon and Sauerkraut. That's right - Sauerkraut!!! But they also have your usual pizza's including taco pizza. They also serve ice cream and pasta. Leave a Comment

One of my favorite restaurants in Cedar Rapids. This place is run by a greek family and the food is authentic, at least by American standards. In any case, it's very tasty.

Bishop's is another one of those restaurants that's been around forever. I remember eating here as a little girl. They have everything from fried chicken to baked fish to swiss steak to ham, and all of the fixin's on the side, veggies, and rolls. But what they are really known for are their desserts, and if you love chocolate try the Chocolate Ambrosia pie.
The Chocolate Ambrosia pie has a graham cracker crust, has a thick, sort of whipped chocolate pudding layer on the bottom, then a thick whipped topping layer topped with chocolate shavings. You'll definately be back for this pie! Whenever I'm in Cedar Rapids I have to eat at Carlos O'Kelly's. I'm a chip & salsa connoisseur and Carlos O'Kelly's has great chips & salsa. If you like yours chunky with lots of onions, tomatos and peppers you will love it!
We've never had a bad experience at Carlos O'Kelly's and we've eaten there many times. The wait staff is friendly and food is always served fast!

If you like local brew pubs this is the place to go, they have the usual wheat's, ale's and stouts. There are usually limited time special beers as well. They even brew their own cream soda!
They have good food too. The regular bar and grill type items - salads, sandwichs, etc.
The atmosphere is that of a sports bar, there are lots of tv's to watch the game on. The restaurant is pretty new and looks nice inside and out.
