 | Cedar Rapids Restaurants | Tips 21 - 28 of 28 | | Popular Restaurants | Other Restaurants Tips | All Tips (28) This place is a little dive, open for lunch only. The food is fantastic and served with the food is a little bit of attitude. I once tried to order the mild sauce, was told I was a sissy and was going to get the hot sauce. A lot of fun and great food. Leave a Comment Theme: BarbecuePrice: less than US$10 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averageAddress: 2020 N Towne Ln NEPhone: (319) 393-6242

Considerably Above Average java joint near Coe College and the main downtown strip. Interesting art on the walls, poetry in the bathrooms, and intelligent staff who know how to make a smiley with the cappacino foam. Leave a Comment

Terrible experience. Extremely overpriced for the quality of food and service. For a party of 8 it took the service 1 hour to get our food to us all. The food was warm when we received it. The sauces were congealed and cold. Between a party of 8 there was 1 beverage refilled. The food was ALL overdone. Spices run ramapant in all the dishes taking away from the actual flavor of the main attraction. The potatoes were saturated in grease all the way through. In general, out of a party of 8, 2 people were "ok" with their choices...everyone else was very dissapointed. The manager was rude and was not interested in hearing complaints. It took 45 minutes for the waitress to figure out our separate billing, finally the manager had to take over. Overall the entire experience was very un-satisfying and I would not reccommend the restaurant to anyone.
The soda was not too bad...a lot of carbonation. Theme: SteakhousePrice: US$11-20 » Currency ConverterComparison: more expensive than averageAddress: 200 1st Avenue NE, Cedar Rapids, IADirections: Don't waste your gas.

My wife and I used to be regular customers of Daniel Arthurs restaurant in Downtown Cedar Rapids. The food was world class, unlike anything else in the corridor. We were dissapointed to learn in late january that the Chef that made that restaurant what it was was no longer there. His name is Clint Goodman, and he was the Iowa chef ot the year in 2006. We later learned he is now at the CRchophouse. We have since gone there twice, and had an excellent experiance both times, including a thai inspired halibut feature that was truly one of a kind. If you get the chance, go try his food, no matter the palate, you wont be dissapointed.

Food Coma Central. Authentic Central European restaurant with hearty Bohemian specialities, just like the old country. Spaetzle and Goulash and more dumplings than you can shake a stick at. Pierogis at least as good as those in Hammond Indiana! Nothing nouveau, lite, or "heart-smart" here! Just good thick sauces, Iowa pork, real veal, and guaranteed "stick to your ribs" noodles. Carb-loading heaven. Stomach-pump not provided. Leave a Comment
