My fondest memory of this day has to be the couple sitting in lawn chairs at the base of a group of giant rocks. They were bundled up against the chill and reading. I couldn't help thinking how peaceful and content they looked but a little odd too...all covered up (socks and sweaters) at the beach! Later in the parking lot, I talked briefly to an elderly man who had his 'best friend' in the passenger seat of his truck; a cocker spaniel.
