* Comfortable footwear, like trainers, as you'll do lots of walking. * Jeans and comfortable trousers. * 2 or 3 pullovers will be more than enough. * Long-sleeved t-shirts to wear under the pullovers. * A warm jacket. * A scarf.
It doesn't get that cold in Buenos Aires in general. Of course with the global warming you never know, but in general the average temperature is 12ºC. There are days when you can get say 8ºC, but that won't be more than 10 times during the whole winter. At night, or mostly in the early morning, the temperature may drop to 3 or 4 ºC. But as soon as the sun starts coming out, it won't be that chilly. As for me, my usual winter clothes are: jeans, trainers or leather boots, a long-sleeved t-shirt and a pullover or a warm jacket. Usually a scarf too, 'cause I hate having colds. Leave a Comment

God, it's hot on summer! Don't take too many clothes, you won't need them! To spend a month, take with you clothes for a week and avoid trouble with the luggage! Bring clothes to go out at night! The nightlife is amazing and many places don't let you get in wearing tennis, slippers or sandals (unless your a woman, of course), specially the after-office parties that usually happen on Wednesdays! For these parties men should bring shoes and a shirt, women, anything! Everything you wear, they like it!
And don't forget your sunscreen! You can use it when you're just sightseing or, if you are a little more "brave", you can sunbath in one of the beautiful squares!

hey ! the weather in buenos aires is really weird, we are in autumm now and we had temperatures like 28º (that's the usual temperature for summer) Even you come in winter! bring some spring clothes and if you come in summer, bring some autumm clothes! because there may be a chance, that the weather changes!

If you like to go outdoors in the Andes, be sure to have already a good backpack, mountain shoes and all special equipment with you. There are many little outdoor shops, but they do not have the same wide assortment as in Europe, and it can take lots of time to find what you need, if you find it.
Clothing is relatively cheap in Argentina as long as it is produced within Argentina or by Argentinian manufacturers and imported from abroad.
Always take a battery loader with you, plus an extra battery of your photo equipment.
If you take a GPS with you, the best is to have one with normal AA batteries and have a battery loader with you. Strangely enough GPS equipment is cheaper here in Buenos Aires then in Europe !
Best place downtown (close to Microcentro) to search for something you need with good prices: Wildlife, H. Yrigoyen 1133, tel: 4381 1040

you should not bring too many baggages. If you are coming with someone else, you should put some of your clothes inside the other person's baggage, just in case any of your baggages get lost on the way here so you won't loose all your clothes. There are a lot of delay and lost baggage! believe me! i work for a travel insurance!
As buenos Aires is not a jungle, you should wear as visiting any other business city! tourist people are really easy to identify on the streets because of the way they wear: Shorts, t-shirts, cowboy huts, funny shirts, rucksacks, maps on their hands.... i always wonder if they thought buenos aires was like the amazonas or the countryside... So wear normaly as you wear at home! Clothes is cheap here because of the currancy if you come with u$D (american dollars) or Euros, so you can buy lot of clothes here! So there is no need for bringing all your clothes!
There are many shops were you can buy photo equipment, but not for the lastest cameras! technology doesn't come that quick to this side of the world ...
