We took malaria tablets for the duration of our stay in the Iguazu Falls area, but I'm not sure they were necessary. Before the trip, our travel doctor said this was a malarial area, but there were very few mosquitos around and I don't think I had any bites. Locals we spoke to didn't use malaria tablets, but I guess it's no harm taking precautions.
It's very hot and humid in Puerto Iguazu (see attached picture) so make sure to bring suncream and a hat, and also it's important to drink lots of water. Leave a Comment
