Wonderful Churrascaria. One of the best in my opinion. Great meat, service, and atmosphere. Also had a great salad bar with everything you can imagine (sushi, breads, cheese, salads, soup, etc). They charge you for each drink so it does add up. Worth going to at least once for the experience.

The food is great, the service is great and you can eat as much as you want. Try to take your time, however. The waiters are usually all over you trying to stuff as much steak into you as possible, so you end up stuffed and ready to leave in a relatively short period of time.
So sit, relax and take your time. The first trip is a serve yourself salad bar with top-notch salad items, sushi and various grilled fish. Once you sit down the steak brigade hovers around with many different cuts of meat that they carve onto your plate. Use the little tongs they give you to hold the meat while they cut. That way you'll also avoid a steak juice facial.
You are also given these discs with one side green and the other side red. Green means "give me more meat 'cause I wanna get huge". Red means "no more meat, I'm watching my figure". Honestly they pay no attention and just try and carve another cow onto your plate when you're not looking.

This is an authentic Charasquaria with food so good that I am drooling while typing. The price is about 15 US and is all you can eat. Numerous waiter wander around with swords full of some of the best beef you have ever tasted. Try and wait for the fillet migon sword to pass you by! Incredible service value and experience a can't miss while in Rio!!!!!

The restaurant is one of the Porcão restaurants in Rio, so the meat and the service are excellent, but for me the best is its location, in Aterro do Flamengo facing the Sugar Loaf.
Even if you don't want to have dinner it's nice to stay in the bar listening to the piano.

Eat as much as you want. Delicious food. Dont expect to manage the disco after...............
You pay appr. R 25 for the dinner, included the 10% for service. Not really too expensive for a european. But you WILL find simular restaurants in the area that asks for half the price.

Two words: Brasilian steakhouse.
The restaurant is elegantly designed, the meat is tender and the salad bar and buffet offer several high-quality selections. There is a flat fee, but drinks and deserts are extra.
If you are planning to have dinner at Porcao, I recommend skipping lunch. The food is so good that it will be hard to resist even after you have had enough. Waiters bring various meats to your table, slicing off a tiny portion of whatever you want.

Extremely Brazilian style. They bring things to your table, mostly various just-cooked meats, and ask if you want them. Then they slice them right on to your plate. Excellent food and great atmosphere. Lots of Brazilians eat here.

OK, so you are in Rio, of course you will go to a churrascaria. Go to Porcao in Flamengo. The biggest amount of food - and very tasty too - you will have for $15 ever. Everyone who comes to Brazil has to go to this chain Brazilian Steakhouse. It's not cheap (39,50 Reais per person), but the food is all-you-can eat. They bring the meat to you on their big skewers carve it onto your plate. They also have a salad bar, with different things on it. Accept no substitutes, don't waste your time eating at another steakhouse just because it's less expensive.
Open Daily 11 am - until the last person leaves. This chain has several locations, but I like this one the best because it has such nice scenery.
APPETIZERS:
-Pao De Queijo (Pow-Gee-Cage-O)
Brazilian cheese bread.
-Banana Frita (Bah-Nah-Nah Free-Tah)
Cinnamon-glazed bananas.
MEAT:
-Picanha (Pea-Con-Yah) - Top sirloin cut very lean and juicy with a mild and sophisticated flavor. This cut is best served in thin slices cooked to a golden brown on the outside and medium rare on the underside.
-Linguiça (Ling-We-Sah) - Brazilian sausage: a very mild and flavorful sausage. Leave a Comment

Not really my favorite, but for sure a good place to go when starving and hungry for MEAT!!!! The Churrascaria Porcão (bbq house) is awesome for the meat lovers.
Try the Picanha, and the Maminha, the best pieces of cow meat. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherDirections: In Copacabana, Ipanema, Flamengo, Barra, and some other places.
