If you're a pork lover, don't miss this shop selling mixed pork soup (or fish) served with plain rice or yam rice. Even when went there at 11 morning, people were already packing the place waiting for their lunch. Can't imagine how crowded it will be at exact lunch hour!
Mixed pork soup with plain rice, of course. The soup taste really great and the porks and innards taste fresh. If you don't like pork or innards, you can opt for fish soup. You can refer to my blog www.tamciakpo.blogspot.com for more pictures. Leave a Comment

Bariani Power's owner I supposed he is, I saw him busy with the packing of nasi lemak, customers waiting, he has to work very hard. He has no smiles on face, very serious looking. Leave a Comment

Chicken rice in Batu Pahat so far did not impress me too much but at least not too bad, still okay and tasty but not extreme delicious type. Leave a Comment

Since it's one of the oldest hawker center in Batu Pahat, don't expect too much on the hygiene and cleanliness at there. I have always enjoy the food here since I was a kid. There's lots of variety for you to choose from like fish ball noodles, braised duck, duck noodles, wu xian (deep fried fishballs, fishpaste and prawn crackers), roast chicken wings and many more. More descriptions and pictures can be found at www.tamciakpo.blogspot.com
Basically all the food are great since most of the stalls have been here for years and still doing good. My favourites are definitely the chicken wings, wu xiang and otak-otak! Half boiled eggs was my breakfast at a local Batu Pahatians' restaurant, this is a very common breakfast in this country, in BP as well. Tourists only need to sit down and yell "two half boiled eggs please !" and best to eat with kopi (local coffee). Leave a Comment

Batu Pahat has so many Malay roadside restaurants, these restaurants are very basic, they are not in a big modern shopping mall, they don't have air-conditioning system, they are very local, and this is a menu of the restaurant, a tip for you, just take a look. Leave a Comment

In the town centre where my BP friend introduced to me has a good restaurant selling famous Wan Tan Mee. The photo is the one, lots of customers and we waited quite long to eat just a plate of it and a bowl of share soup Wan Tans. Taste was good and quite different compare with Wan Tan Mee else where in the country. A must. Leave a Comment
