    Belvaderes is in the hills near the university and has the most spectacular view of the city. Belvaderes is the second best restaurant in Buj. The service, although not exceptionally friendly, is great. in fact your waiter will wait near buy watching your table closely for an empty glass or the slightest gesture that you need something.

    The sangala (fish) is the best. The food is very good and you must try the "Jus de maison". It is the house jiuce and is incedible.

    the Botanika is a small outdoor restaurant that became successful enough that he opened the upstairs as a hotel. The food is wonderful as is, but if you need something a little different just tell the staff what you want and they'll make it. the staff speaks english but if you still have trouble ask for Adrien the manager or Loudo the owner (he's Belgian). The Botanika is one of my favorite experiences in Africa because of the staff. Adrien and Loudo are some of the best people you will ever meet.

    The Sangala in foil is very good. The Veal cordon blue is the best. Their "jus maison" or house juice is strawberry based and incedible. the desserts change daily and are all exceptionally good. Watch out for the pelle pelle or hot sauce it is hot, very very hot.
    TIP: The owner is begian so don't ask for "french fries" they are pom frites. as i was instructed, by my dear friend Loudo, the Belgians invented frites not the french.

    The restaurant is located on the mountain in the "Kiriri" quarter. With a spectacular view of Bujumbura, You'll enjoy a extra-ordinairy menu

    Sangala bonne femme and pure beef filet " sur planche".
