Vlissingen Restaurants

It's on the boulevard and they have a large terrace in front, where it's nice to sit on a sunny day - also in the winter thanks to the wind screens.

Salads, baguettes, omelettes, etc. for lunch.
Wines by the glass (on the summer terrace).
An extensive menu card & wine list for dinner.
Guests are also welcome for a cup of coffee or a resfreshment the whole day long.

This restaurant won "De Zilveren Champignon" in 2003. This is a prestigious contest in which only the best restaurants compete.

NOTE: The picture was taken on March 28th, 2003. The temperature was 22°C!!

Solskin is right on the boulevard, with a beautiful view over the sea and the beach.
It has a sunny terrace in the front, with windscreens and heaters, so that even in the winter it's very enjoyable to sit there on a sunny day.

I've eaten there various times, both for lunch and for dinner.
Last time was during our VT meeting in Middelburg. I had beef carpaccio (starter) and 'Zeeuws Vispannetje' (main). The main course came with various vegetables, rice, baked potatoes and fries. It was an excellent meal.

The reason I chose this place instead of others, was because 'De Meijerij' is cosy.
They had little red Moroccan lights (all the other restaurants had bright white lights, and I hate that).
So it was chosen by feeling.. and it was a good feeling. Nice little diner, cosy, very friendly waiter and the food was excellent.

Group)

Grand Cafe Raymondo is part of a number of buildings managed by the Amadore Group.
The High Grand Hotel Arion Tower is the most eyecathcing at the Vlissingen skyline and is one of the buildings. The others can be found in the same area at the Vlissingen Boulevard. Opposite Raymondo is the Grand Cafe Stefano's, followed by jerry's Smulroom.

Raymondo has a big terras where you can sit and enjoy the vie over the Schelde river and Northsea. Inside is a romatic brown warm interior for the winter days offering the same view as the terras.

Service is professional and friendly.

Business hours: Daily from 10AM.

The 3 course menu with Soup, salmon and fresh fruit and ice.

Terrace at Raymondo

Modern style restaurant, also open for lunch or just a drink. It's lovely to sit on their terrace in the summer. The view on the open sea is splendid.

Salads are great, as well as their fish and seafood platters.
In July 3-course boulevard menu at 23 euro.

Kreta Palas - Vlissingen

Kreta Palas was called Delphi in the past.
Well, Greek restaurants come and go (or change owners0 at Vlissingen.

Kreta Palas has not the appearance of nearby poseidon, but I found the food at Kreta much better and more original Greek.
