Gaudi is a restaurant that specializes in spanish tapas. There is a special tapasmenu.
They also have a many tables outside ( in the sun around lunchtime).
For lunch we like the wraps, which are served hot.

Delphi is a great greek restaurant. Not only the atmosphere and the free drink (ouzo), but also the great food makes you feel like you are in Greece.
The service is good and fast.

I forgot the name of this place, but I'm sure it was something like Plaza . Anyway, this is supposed to be a rock café but on this afternoon in early April we didn't really notice it, except that they said so on the menu. More important, they did have a heated terrace, a big screen to protect us from the rain, a nice choice of beer and good food and friendly service. A little expensive maybe, as I suppose everything in Valkenburg is, but it was enjoyable enough. I was gladly surprised to see that among their beers was Double Saison, a new beer that I hadn't tasted yet and that turned out to be very good. For lunch I had an 'uitsmijter', which is basically two slices of bread and a heap of fried egg with cheese and other stuff on it. Simple as this meal was, it tasted excellent and I guess worth the ca. 6 euros I paid for it. My wife, who unlike me rarely looks for the cheaper parts of the menu, had a pasta salad, which was quite good too, although I'd rather see she wouldn't spend 9 euros on a lunch. Leave a Comment

After a walk along the Geul this is the perfect spot to have lunch or just a drink at their sunny terrace. We once stopped there when Gonnie came back from walking to Meerssen and Tom was cycling in the neighbourhood coming down from the village Berg. A good place to meet and have lunch together. The sandwich was good but the beer was a little bit expensive. Another chinese restaurant is more specialized in buffets, availlable every weekend or on request for groups.
But you can also choose to order from the menu. The dishes we tried are good.

A good italian restaurant just outside of the busy centre of Valkenburg. It is located in a pedestration street.
The food was good and plenty. We both had a tomato soup, which was absolutely delicious. Tom then ordered a fish pizza and Gonnie had pasta with salmon. Both are to be recommended.
