    Stroll down Arbat Street, lined with trees, lamps of cast iron and lots of benches make the street cosy and comfortable. There are clothing shops, bookstores, a photo gallery, and jewelry shops. There's even an Irish Pub! (I didn't go inside, so I don't know the story there...)

    All up and down Arbat Street in February, you can see ice sculptures of birds, angels, people, or as you can see here, funny little kids.

  • I suggest the Opera House, Moledzhdi Moda (Young Persons Mode), Targovi Center, The underground store, Then English Club (all russians who speak english) have meetings across from the Tech. University, there meetings were kind of fun...

  • I was lucky enough to join my friend and her work colleagues for a weekend hiking trip in the Ural Mountains. We stayed in a very small and rural town called Zuratcul (not sure of correct spelling).

  • Directions: Zuratcul is located roughly halfway between cities of Chelyabinsk and Ufa. It is just south of M5 Highway on the European side of the Ural Mountains.
